General questions

How do I get in touch?

For general questions you can send us an email to hello@biteswelove.nl. Are you a business customer? Then please send an email to business@biteswelove.nl. You can of course also call us at 020-2331750. We are available by phone from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Where is the BitesWeLove office located?

Our office is not only conveniently located, but also beautifully situated, right on the Amstel River in Amsterdam! Want to pop in for a cup of coffee or send us something special? Our address is Welnastraat 701-B, 1096GJ Amsterdam.

Where can I buy BitesWeLove products?

Our products are available in various locations. You can order through our webshop. We're also available at various supermarkets: Albert Heijn, Jumbo, Spar, Picnic, and Crisp. You can also find us at Holland & Barrett and order from Hellofresh. The in-store selection varies by store.

What impact does BitesWeLove make?

At BitesWeLove, our goal is to help you snack healthier. Our impact is primarily on the people who eat our bites. To improve our impact and communicate even more clearly, we're working hard to get BitesWeLove B-Corp certified. We expect to be certified in 2023. Curious about what...B-corp. What is it? This certification tests companies on how they make decisions regarding the environment, employees, customers, suppliers, and society. Besides the product, all business activities are also examined. We'll keep you updated.

At BitesWeLove, we believe it's important that everyone involved in our work can easily let us know when something needs attention. We will handle your report carefully and confidentially. We'll let you know we've received it, discuss the next steps with you, and keep you informed of the next steps. We carefully review every report with the appropriate team members. Everyone should feel safe sharing something with us. That's why we protect everyone who reports from adverse consequences. This means that a report must never lead to discrimination, exclusion, or any form of pressure. If you prefer to report anonymously, you can; we'll treat it with the same care. We certainly appreciate your input and help us continue to grow and improve!

Our bites

Where can I see what's in the bites?

The ingredients list for our bites can be found on the back of each package. You can also find it online on the bites' product page in the webshop. Click on the bite you want to view the ingredients for and scroll down.

The allergens in our bites are always shown in bold so they are hard to miss.

Are the bites vegetarian or vegan?

Yes. We're all about plant-based power! All our bites are both vegetarian and vegan.

Are the bites suitable for children?

A small amount of nuts every day is also a good idea for children. The Nutrition Center advises against giving whole nuts or peanuts to children under 4 years old. Young children's teeth and mouth muscles aren't fully developed yet, and they can choke on whole nuts. Therefore, the Nutrition Centre advises eating quietly at the table as much as possible and always supervising them when giving whole nuts. We also have a few spicier flavors that we know young children might find a bit daunting. Therefore, we recommend always tasting them first!

Little inside tip from us: the portion packs are perfect as a handy and healthy snack in the lunch box.

I can't eat too much salt, can I eat your bites?

We try to add as little salt as possible to our mixes to keep our bites as healthy as possible. But we also know that salt can sometimes be the key flavor enhancer. We believe balance is key. Mixed Nuts, Apricot Nut Mix, Chocolate Peanut Raisin and Chocolate Peas have no added salt. Lightly Salted is formulated with a small amount of salt. The rest of our products fall into the savory category and contain slightly more salt. In our webshop you can see per product how much salt the bite contains.

I have a nut allergy. Can I eat the bites?

Unfortunately, almost all of our bites come from a single nut factory, where there's a risk of cross-contamination. Therefore, if you have a nut allergy, it's best not to eat our bites. But don't worry! Our Flip-its come from a different factory and can therefore be eaten with a nut allergy. These can be ordered in our webshop.

I have a gluten allergy/intolerance. Are the bites suitable for me?

We recommend that you check each bite to see if it is gluten-free or not, as it's a bit of a 50/50 split. Our crunchy peas contain gluten, so the Crunchy Peas, Crunchy Mixes, Chilli Nut Mix and Chocolate Peanut Raisin are not gluten-free. Nuts are naturally gluten-free, so our Mixed Nuts, Apricot Nut Mix and Lightly Salted Mix are gluten-free. Because our bites are packaged at a production site, we can't 100% guarantee that our bites are gluten-free. But great news, our Flip-its are completely gluten-free.

Which quality marks do the bites have?

Our bites have several certifications. The chocolate we use for our chocolate products is Rainforest Alliance certified. More information can be found here: www.rainforest-alliance.org/. Our Flip-its Paprika and Flip-its Salt & Pepper are organic.

Do you use palm oil in your products?

All our products are palm oil-free. Simple and straightforward, right?

How can I place an order?

Placing an order is very simple. In our webshop. You can easily add bites from the shop to your shopping cart. Want to make ordering even easier for yourself? Create an account. Then you won't have to enter your details again the next time you order. Want to order for business?

How do I pay for my bites?

In our webshop you can easily pay online via IDEAL, credit card, or Paypal.

I want to order bites for my company, is that possible?

In what quantities can I order?

Our portion packs can be ordered in multiples of 12 pieces. So you always order per 12, 24, 36, etc. Our stand-up pouches. You can order them in packs of 6, but you can also order them separately. OurLentil Puffs. You can buy them individually or in packs of 6 for a more efficient purchase. Shipping is free within the Netherlands for orders over €35.

I would like to report a change of address

You can add a new delivery address by going to your account and clicking on "Addresses." Here you can easily change both your billing and shipping addresses. If you've already placed your order, we can change your address up to 30 minutes after placing your order. After that, your order will be ready for shipment.

Can I still change an order I have placed?

To get your order delivered as quickly as possible, we'll start processing it right away! Therefore, you can only change your order for a short time. If you placed your order less than 30 minutes ago, please contact us by phone at 020-2331750We're available by phone from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. We'll then immediately see if we can change your order.

I want to cancel my order, is that possible?

To get your order delivered as quickly as possible, we'll start processing it right away! Cancellations are only possible for a short period. If you placed your order less than 30 minutes ago, please call our office.020-2331750We will then immediately check whether we can still cancel the order.

I want to return my order, is that possible?

If you want to return your order, it is best to contact us hello@biteswelove.nlor call to 020-2331750. You'll receive information about returning your product and the options available via email. Once your order has been returned to us, your purchase price will be refunded within 5 business days.

I lost my invoice, where can I find it?

You can easily download your invoices on your own profile page. We can of course also send it to you if you request the invoice from hello@biteswelove.nl.

Can I add a card to my order?

Nothing is more fun than personalizing a package when you want to surprise someone. We have a special gift boxdeveloped a product where you can add a card with a personal message. We have cards in various themes, so there's always a perfect match. It's not possible to add a card to our other products.

I still have an (old) discount code, how do I redeem it?

You can enter your discount code in your shopping cart. When you click "View Cart," you'll see a field for entering a discount code as you scroll down. The percentage or discount will then be deducted from your order value and applied automatically. Pay close attention to the expiration date of the code. If it doesn't work, it may have expired.

Is there anything unclear? Send an email tohello@biteswelove.nlwith your voucher or voucher code. We'll resolve this, of course!

My shipment

Do I pay shipping costs?

In the Netherlands, we make and deliver the box for €4.96. For orders over €35, shipping is free within the Netherlands. Shipping to Belgium is €7.50.

How quickly will my order be delivered?

We ship orders placed on weekdays before 5:00 PM the same day. We work with PostNL, so most deliveries arrive the next day, or at the latest two days later. You can track your order using PostNL's Track & Trace email. Unfortunately, we have no control over PostNL's delivery speed.

Where can my boxes be delivered?

Wherever you want. Additional shipping costs may apply for deliveries outside the Netherlands. You can specify where you want the box delivered; at home or at work, for example.

Will my order fit through the letterbox?

Our gift boxes fits easily through the letterbox. So you don't have to stay home for this package! Other packages are shipped in a larger box and won't fit through the letterbox.

Can I track my order?

Yes, all our orders have a Track & Trace code. This way, you can see exactly when your bites will be delivered. You'll receive an email with this code as soon as your order has left our warehouse. You can also find this code in your order overview.

What do I do if my order has not been delivered?

We know our snacks, but we don't know our mail. That's why we partner with PostNL. They ensure everything runs as smoothly as possible. The shipping date is listed on your personal profile page, and you'll also find your Track & Trace code there. If you're not home and your package has been delivered to a PostNL collection point, PostNL will notify you. You then have seven business days to collect your package, after which PostNL will return it to our warehouse.

I have a complaint about the bites, how do we resolve this?

We're sorry to hear you're not satisfied. We'd like to resolve this as quickly as possible. Please contact us by email hello@biteswelove.nl or call 020-2331750. Then we will find a good solution together.
